Bantham is a stunning beach, accessible down a narrow country lane. There is a large car park by the sand dunes and an excellent gastrobus selling food. The beach itself is clean with something for everyone. There are rock pools, clear water, great surf, a surf school and RNLI lifeboat and guards on duty from May to September. Ten minutes walk over the dunes there is a smaller beach where dogs are allowed. There are wonderful views over to Burgh Island and Bigbury. At very very low tide you can walk across to Bigby beach but be careful as the tide can come in very fast and you could easily get cut off and far too far to walk back by road!
Not allowed 1st May and 30th September
Short walk from carpark
