Dollar Cove

Cornwall

Also known as Jangye Ryn, this is a pebble beach at high tide, with sand revealed at low tide. This beach got its name after a shipwreck in 1780 in which many silver dollars were lost overboard. Also of interest are the rock formations, with the contorted strata of the cliffs representing 1,000s of years of tectonic movement.
