First stop...Cornwall

Fowey Christmas Market - 30th November - 1st December 2018

The Fowey Christmas Market is one of Cornwall’s most established events in the festive calendar. Carefully hand picking their traders has resulted in a curated Christmas market where you will find a huge array of handmade, locally produced gifts, art and craft as well as some of the regions finest locally produced food and drink. And, once you’ve finished at the market, there are lots of fabulous boutique shops to visit along with eateries to stop at to get your energy up.  


Padstow Christmas Festival 6th - 9th December 2018

For four days in December Padstow comes even more alive with their annual Christmas Festival. Under the twinkle of the harbour fairy lights you can enjoy food demonstrations from famous Chefs such as Michael Caines and Rick Stein along with getting your hands on Cornwall’s finest artisan foods, from chutneys to chocolates. It's not all food through, there are local makers there selling their wares so you’ll be sure to be able to pick up some non-food related presents.  


Cornwall Christmas Market

The Cornish Winter Fair - 17th November 2018

Held at The Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, the Cornish Winter Fair is a great undercover event with lots of free parking. As well as a great place to kick off your Christmas shopping, children can also get up close to an array of animals, milk a (mock) cow and groom a pony. There is lots of food and drink from local producers with tastings galore.

Totnes Christmas Market, Devon 4th 11th and 18th December 2018

Totnes knows how to do a market, and the late night Christmas market is fantastic.  On Tuesday nights throughout December along with late night shopping throughout the town as well, you’ll find an eclectic mix of locally traders traders, producers and entertainers all with a touch of Totnes Christmas Magic!!


Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market 15th November to 16th December 2018

Based on the Cathedral Green around the beautiful Exeter Cathedral, the emphasis here is on handmade and traditional with everything from artisan soap to canine accessories. Eating and drinking opportunities aplenty, of course, with a food village, the rustic tavern and a new mulled drinks area which is new for this year. 


Devon Christmas Market

Wonderland Christmas Makers Market 29th November - 2nd December 2018

A curated makers market for lovers of great design, this market is brimming with unique, handmade, local Christmas gifts. As well as lots of beautiful gifts to buy, there are also demonstrations from local, resident artisans including a blacksmith forge and you can take part in some workshops where you can make your own gifts.  


Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre Christmas Market 1st - 2nd December

Nestled in the charming village of Lifton, the Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre will be home to a Christmas market packed full of artisan gifts, festive food and mulled drinks for the adults. It is such a unique place to visit, to be able to shop there as well is a must.
