Miniature Pony Centre
The Miniature Pony Centre, based on Dartmoor near Moretonhampstead, provides fun family days out from March to September. The centre is home to animals great and small, including ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, miniature ponies and their foals, horses, heavy horses, miniature donkeys, goats and giant millipedes. There are several activities on offer throughout the day, including pony grooming, animal feeding, pony rides, pet handling, talks and demonstrations. In addition to all of this, there are indoor and outdoor play areas and a cafe on site.

Woodlands Theme Park
Devon’s largest theme park provides a great day out near Dartmouth. Come rain or shine there’s something for everyone, including the vast indoor play area, water park and zoo farm. The variety of events held throughout the year provide further excitement, from science workshops to Santa’s grotto. Also on offer is a café and even a campsite, should you decide to stay close to the park.

National Marine Aquarium
National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth, is a conservation charity and the UK’s largest aquarium! Home to hundreds of sea creatures from as far away as Australia, there’s no shortage of things to see. In addition to the daily talks and shows, the aquarium regularly puts on events to make visiting even more special for the whole family. During your visit, refreshment can be found in the Waves café. Unlike some of the other great attractions in Devon, the aquarium has the advantage of being open all year round.

Diggerland
Diggerland, near Cullompton, is a theme park offering the unique opportunity to spend the day riding and driving diggers and other construction machinery. Haldon Forest
The beautiful Haldon Forest Park, near Exeter, has plenty of activities to entertain the whole family, including any four-legged members. Extensive footpaths and bike trails spread throughout the park, and there are multiple outdoor play areas to be found. GoApe offers treetop adventures, including zip wires and Tarzan swings. Back on the ground, segway tours of the forest are a unique way to spend time for over 10s, and there are several special events taking place throughout the year. The café is a great place to refuel after all that exercise!
