Holidays in Dartmouth
One of the most beautiful and popular towns in South Devon is Dartmouth. Set on the banks of the River Dart, there are plenty of watersports to enjoy here including paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and boat trips. The town has a rich history which can be enjoyed by visiting Dartmouth Castle, Agatha Christie's National Trust Greenway House, or Dartmouth Museum. There are also many independent art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants to visit.
Many walking routes pass through Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, which provides breathtaking views of the coastline. There is plenty to do nearby, including visiting the many local beaches, riding a steam train through South Devon, or catching a ferry to Totnes, Torquay or Salcombe. Home to spectacular events such as Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Shakespeare Week and Dart Music Festival, there’s always something going on in this vibrant harbour town.
