Holidays in Dawlish

Dawlish is a traditional seaside resort town and is famously home to black swans. A public green called The Lawn lies in the centre of the town, a perfect picnic spot, surrounded by many interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and an amusement arcade. Dawlish Town beach is minutes from the town centre and is a great sandy beach for families. Less than two miles away is Dawlish Warren, with a beautiful nature reserve and beach, plus more amusements and rides.

No matter how you prefer to travel, there are lots of options for exploring the area around Dawlish, each providing amazing views of the coast and countryside. The South West Coast path provides great walks, the Exe Estuary Trail is a 20 mile off-road cycle route to Exmouth, and the scenic South Devon Railway Line runs from Exeter to Newton Abbot. A destination known to have been visited by Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, you can be sure of a great trip to Dawlish.
