Holidays in Salcombe

At Devon’s most southerly point lies Salcombe, a charming town on the banks of the Salcombe Estuary. Watersports activities are therefore abundant throughout the town, including sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking. Known as one of the county’s prettiest towns and situated in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Salcombe is surrounded by beautiful coastline, countryside and villages. This can be enjoyed by visiting one of the many family beaches in the area, taking a boat trip, or by walking along the South West Coast Path.

The great food and drink here is another huge draw, from ice cream at Salcombe Dairy to fresh, locally-caught seafood. Salcombe Gin has won many awards and is not to be missed! The many events held in the town make visiting even more special. One such event is the Salcombe Town Regatta, involving a lantern procession, sandcastle competition, crabbing boat race and spectacular fireworks display. A town with a great atmosphere, stunning scenery and plenty to do, look no further than Salcombe.
